A Superb Antique Rose de France Amethyst Ring 14K White Gold Art Deco Floral Filigree Setting, Vintage circa 1920. The setting was made by Ostby and Barton, one of the leading jewelers of fine jewelry at the Turn of the Century. The setting is marked OB, the mark for Ostby Barton. One of the founders of Ostby Barton parished on the Titanic, making their pieces historically interesting. This ring has the most exquisite white gold setting composed of 14K white gold. It has a hallmark for Ostby Barton in addition to 14K marking. The setting has beautiful filigree open work with crisp detailing. The center of the ring holds a beautiful faceted Rose de France amethyst gemstone measuring about 8 x 12mm. The entire ring measures about 11/16 inch long by about 11/16 inch wide from side to side. This ring dates to the late Victorian to Art Deco period, circa 1920 and is in excellent vintage condition.
