A Rare Piece is this Antique Cats Eye Chrysoberyl Pin, Vintage Victorian, circa 1850, Antique Brooch. This piece holds a wonderful array of rare antique cats eye chrysoberyl, estimated at approximately 3.5 carats total in weight (+/-). The largest of the stones is about 6.2 x 6 x 4 mm. These wonderful gemstones are all set in Victorian 6 prong claw style settings and all stones are original to this 18th Century piece. The setting is original mid-Victorian Period and is composed of Victorian gold filled. All findings are original including the "C" style clasp in back. There is a nick on the underside of the center stone, quite possibly original to the stone, but I have to mention it for extreme accuracy as I always do. Overall this piece measures about 1 3/4 inches long by about 1/4 inch wide. A rare find for the true collector.
