| A Lovely Antique Cameo Necklace, Vintage Art Deco - Victorian with Pearls. This wonderful antique necklace is estimated to date circa 1920's. It is Italian with a hand carved shell cameo at its center. The cameo measures about 15 x 20mm. The necklace is hand made of fine wirework in a silver finish. The necklace also holds two pink stones and two genuine pearls. The pink stones are untested and could be pink topaz or pink quartz or simulated stones. The stones are quite stunning in person. Overall the necklace is about 18 1/2 inches long (one could make this shorted very easily by having some links in the chain removed). The center cameo is about 1 1/16 inches long. This piece is from an estate collection and is in lovely overall vintage condition with a bit of shell loss near the bezel on the cameo, quite possibly original to the setting of the piece and mentioned for extreme accuracy as I always do. It closes securely with a sterling silver clasp that has been recently replaced so it is nice and secure. A simply lovely piece of antique jewelry. | |||||||||||
