An Outstanding Vintage Pearl Bib Necklace by Robert, Miriam Haskell Designer, with Cherry Red Amber Faceted Glass and Rhinestones, circa 1958. This fabulous vintage necklace was made by Robert, a designer that some sources claim worked for the famed Miriam Haskell and their stylistic similarities can clearly be seen in this magnificent example. This bold piece is estimated to date circa 1958 and is composed of luminous quality glass baroque pearls, rich red faceted crystal drops in the color of fine cherry amber, and rhinestone accents. The round faceted red beads have touches of aurora borealis that catches the light beautifully when worn. The clasp is signed, Original by Robert and is also adorned with pearls and rhinestones. The center of this necklace is about 2 inches wide with the crystal drop. Overall the necklace is about 15 1/8 inches long. The necklace is from an estate collection out of Hollywood, CA and is in lovely vintage condition with minor wear to the pearls and appropriate darkening of brass spacers. This is by far the best example of a signed Robert piece that I have ever come across. A must have for any collector.
