Rare Yue glazed, four lugged jar with attractive “iron” spot from the Western Jin Dynasty (265-420). This piece is fully glazed on the outside with some degradation on the inner mouthrim annd shoulder, having said this the glaze is stable with no fritting- there is one tiny chip on edge of mouthrim and a firing chip on the base, which I would deem insignificant on this type of piece...

Classic Song Dynasty celadon incised lotus saucer. As is painfully obvious this is damaged, but in perfect condition, with this color, it would fetch several thousand dollars (and this is a modest estimate). I have done a simple job filling the chips and applying gold leaf to enhance it, so feel free to compare before and after images. This has nice even glaze and more than usual lotus petals carved on the outside...

Very rare small celadon Yueyao lugged jar from a Zhejiang Kiln, circa Five Dynasties/Early Northern Song. This type of ceramic was a precursor to Longquan ware. There is a firing crack and some fritting (caused by pockets of air trapped beneath the glaze during firing) on one side- noted in enlargements. D: 9cm/3.5in and H: 6cm/24in. I have added a cosmetic "enhancement" (filled the crack and applied gold leaf).

Quirky “Budai”circa Mid Qing Dynasty, possibly much earlier. This is a high fired pottery molded piece. Stylistically this figure hasn’t changed much since the Song Dynasty so precise dating is difficult. This is an excavated piece and has a similar glaze to Jizhou but without the expected craquelure. Quite possibly this Shekwan piece emulating this. In excellent condition the spot on the nose there is no glaze where it as either been rubbed off or simply never took...

Rare Northern Song Dynasty porcelaneous saucer with abstract incised floral medallion. This was produced at the Jingdezhen kiln which at the time was trying to replicate the Ding wares from the Northern Kilns. This has an ivory colored glaze with a green tint. The Southern Ding classification is fairly recent. In the past very high quality pieces white porcelaneous off white pieces surfaced from time to time but no one was really sure where to put them...

Classic Ming celadon bowl from the Longquan kiln, unfortunately the photos do not do this piece justice. It is a heavy, meaty piece at just under near one l kilo/2 lbs in weight. It is just about one shade darker from being classified as a “sea green”, the best approximation to matching the color may seen in enlargement 3 showing the pattern of the impressed chrysanthemum. As my photo editing software tends to truncate images it is not as flat and wide as the photos indicate...
