Rare Yue glazed, four lugged jar with attractive “iron” spot from the Western Jin Dynasty (265-420). This piece is fully glazed on the outside with some degradation on the inner mouthrim annd shoulder, having said this the glaze is stable with no fritting- there is one tiny chip on edge of mouthrim and a firing chip on the base, which I would deem insignificant on this type of piece...

Classic Song Dynasty celadon incised lotus saucer. As is painfully obvious this is damaged, but in perfect condition, with this color, it would fetch several thousand dollars (and this is a modest estimate). I have done a simple job filling the chips and applying gold leaf to enhance it, so feel free to compare before and after images. This has nice even glaze and more than usual lotus petals carved on the outside...

Very rare small celadon Yueyao lugged jar from a Zhejiang Kiln, circa Five Dynasties/Early Northern Song. This type of ceramic was a precursor to Longquan ware. There is a firing crack and some fritting (caused by pockets of air trapped beneath the glaze during firing) on one side- noted in enlargements. D: 9cm/3.5in and H: 6cm/24in. I have added a cosmetic "enhancement" (filled the crack and applied gold leaf).

Southern Song vase with Jizhou glaze and impressed floral and lotus patterns, an interesting piece in that this type of piece is usually found in Qingbai ware, with which they were often fired at the same kilns with. There are some blue highlights and minor fritting in the glaze (as is typical of Jizhou) and one repaired chip which may be viewed in last enlargement. H: 15cm/5.9in and D: 8cm/3.1in.

Classic Ming celadon bowl from the Longquan kiln, unfortunately the photos do not do this piece justice. It is a heavy, meaty piece at just under near one l kilo/2 lbs in weight. It is just about one shade darker from being classified as a “sea green”, the best approximation to matching the color may seen in enlargement 3 showing the pattern of the impressed chrysanthemum. As my photo editing software tends to truncate images it is not as flat and wide as the photos indicate...

Early Northern Song bowl bowl, with broad lip around the mouthrim. The body is high fired with a greenish glaze. Excellent original condition, no damage. I tend to think this is trying to emulate either a Ding or Qingbai type. I have seen three of this type bowl recently and all have some out of Sichuan, so most likely from a Southern Kiln. D: 17.7cm/7in and H: 6cm/2.4in.

Large Yuan Dynasty Mei Ping jar with rare aquamarine glaze. There is one firing crack on the side which I can fill with ceramic putty that would mitigate the visual impact, otherwise excellent condition. As my photo software tends to flatten images somewhat I have included one of it lying on the side. H: 29.5cm/11.5in and D: 21cm/8.2in.

Very rare early Shekwan unconventionally shaped Leys jar or censer with Jun type flambé glaze, circa late Ming to early Qing. Personally I think this is Ming based on the shallow yet wide footrim and similarity in shape to some Ming celadons I have seen, but will guarantee this to be early Qing, i.e. Kangxi/Yongzheng/Qianlong reigns...

Southern Song black glazed bowl with russet highlights and some hare’s fur streaking from a Fujian kiln probably Jianyang or possibly Wuyishan. This is a kiln discard and comes from a very old Hong Kong collection as the original owner had a what appears to be an ivory rim put on it. Please examine the enlargements very carefully. D: 10cm/4in and H: 6cm/2.3in.
