Song or earlier (possibly Tang to Five Dynasties), brownish amber bowl. I have had this piece so long I forgot I had it. My first impression is this was a Jizhou ware because of the fritting but to be honest I don’t have a clue as to where this from other than to say probably a Southern kiln and Tang to Song Dynasty, and will guarantee Song Dynasty. The body is relatively thin compared to the thick rimless foot, with heavy glaze pooling in the center and drops on the side, the clay gray with a smooth surface. There is one negligible hairline and fritting on the outside. D: 9.9cm/3.9in and 4cm/1.5in.
