| Exceptionally fine late 20th CE wedding cover from the Zhuang ethnic group. This piece is in perfect condition and is composed of silk floss on cotton using the supplementary weft embroidery technique. With the migration of rural young women moving to the “big city” to get factory jobs, this art has all but died out. The quality of the weaving on this piece as good as or better than on a much older piece. Dimensions: 104cm/41in x 156cm/61in. | ||||||||
