Two bolts of P'ulo-thigma wool cloth. I bought these in the Bakor market outside the Jokang Temple in Lhasa in 1996. The one with the crosses is hand woven wool with some aniline dye. The crosses look to have been stamped on (dimensions: 18ft x 8.5in). The one with the circles is also handwoven wool, probably natural dye and the round medallions have been resist wax (tie dyed) on in the traditional fashion (dimensions: 16ft x These are used as sashes, borders on carpets, chuba robes or sewn together to make Pangden aprons.
