Unusual dated brushwasher and ink box, combination with lid. The lid is dated Year 15 of the Founding of the Republic of China (1927), with the name of the owner: Wang Shou, and Guangxi Secondary School, Class 13 also written. The two large characters on the right translate as “Hidden Dragon”. This has a chip and a crack (see last enlargements). A very unusual piece as I don’t encounter dated Republic pieces often and porcelain coming out of Guangxi Province are rare. This is still quite serviceable and has nice sort of folksy charm to it. 8.5cm/3.3in x 7.5cm/3in x 5.6cm/2.2in.
