| Exceptionally fine and rare gold stater from the brief Kidarite Kingdom circa 360 CE- 380 CE. The Kidarites were also referred to as the Red Huns, displaced the Kushans in Pakistan and Afghanistan only later to be pushed out by the Hepthalites (White Huns). The image of Kidara (founder of the Kidarites, doh!) is on one side and a seated Goddess Ardoksho on the reverse. Superb quality and condition D: 2.3cm. | |||||||
