| Unusual Qing Dynasty tea cup tray with Ge type glaze. I have seen a number of pieces with this type of clay and glaze over the years and have always speculated as to their origin as they are neither a Jingdezhen product nor a porcelain. I now think this might be a Shekwan piece as it was famous for being able to reproduce some of the classic Song Dynasty wares like Jun and Ge, but this is a just best guess on my part. This piece is in excellent original condition apart from a few original bubble bursts in the glaze that occurred during firing and scratches. D: 15.7cm/6in and H: 2.9cm/1.2in. | |||||||||
