Mark this on your fine art calendar of shows to attend for 2014! Not to be missed is this year's opening exhibit for the 90+ year old artists group. Throughout the decades many well collected painters have walked up those steps to display their works. Imagine, how this long cold New England winter has made many painters stretch their imagination over and beyond to produce many fine works for fine art patrons to appreciate and collect.

I will be entering this 18 X 24" oil on canvas titled: Backyard Winter Glow, housed in a beautiful professional gold leaf close corner gallery frame of 20 3/4 X 30 3/4". For a preview here at please search: 1242270.

This is the only snow theme oil painting in my collection and is brighter in person. It was painted soon after visiting an 87 year old lady who, tired of living alone, was selling her home. It was a bitter cold dark day, but just before the sun came out from under the cloud cover, it shot golden rays onto a few trees that lasted a few seconds. There in the darkness a pair of doves and a cardinal were taking their last bite before the roost...

I hope you like it.

Reading Art Association Spring Art Exhibit and Sale
First Congregational Church, Sanborn St, Reading, MA
05/02/14 - 05/04/14

You are invited...

To attend the perfect place for your Mother's day gift shopping and art enrichment at the Reading Art Association Spring Art Exhibit and sale. What a way to start up your 2014 art show calendar. You will find more than 100 paintings by local artists, many whose work is collected far and wide. The art found there is sure to bring joy and color to your home or office space.

I will be entering two oil paintings, this being one of them titled: Road Out West. One may ask, what an odd suggestion for a Mother's Day gift...Who knows, maybe she would like to visit out West if not in person, at least via this oil painting. This being New England, it is doubtful that there will be many other Southwestern themed paintings except for my two. For a preview here at please search: 1183868. Don't forget to look at image #2 in a week or two to view the second one to be entered.

Bring your loved ones with you...
