A wonderful and vibrant impressionist image with two figures working in the marshes. The painting appears to retain its original faux alligator textured frame.

Antoine Louis Barye, French, 1796-1875, Bronze Rabbit, Circa 1850. A fine 19th century small bronze depicting a rabbit feeding on a head of cabbage. The piece has a fine rich patina and is fitted on its original white marble base. Condition: Very good. The bronze is signed Barye near the tail. Condition: There is some minor toning in the paper which is only apparent in the margins. There is some very slight foxing in the face of the cat.
