| A fine English George III mahogany secretary, circa 1770. The upper case with a dentil molded broken arch pediment over serpentine molded blind doors. The bookcase interior is fitted with adjustable shelves over a course of valenced dividers and small drawers. The bookcase is also fitted with two pull out candle slides. The lower case with a fall front opening to a developed interior with dividers and small drawers centering a molded prospect door flanked with columned document drawers. The lower case has four long drawers with open work brasses. The case supported on straight bracket feet. Condition is very fine with a mellow finish. Dimensions: Height 91", Depth 23", Width at cornice 46", Width of case 42". | ||||||||||||
