A fine and unusual Late Nineteenth Century gilt bronze inkwell in the form of a horse cart. The cart has two large wheels surmounted with a simulated wooden storage well with a hinged lid. The lid opens to the glass ink container. The cart is mounted on an oval fabric covered base. Condition: The gilding has some surface oxidation consistent with use and age.
