A fine German porcelain figurine of a blue jay, c. 1960. The winged bird is perched upon a branch. It retains its original paper factory label which says Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung and in pen 253112F. It is also signed under glaze Hutchenreuther Germany. The figurine measure 9" tall, and has a wing span of 8 1/2". There is a repair under the upper wing which is only visible under the wing, otherwise the piece is in very good condition with no breaks and one tiny chip on the wing tip.
