Mid century studio cylinder vase with incised and relief pattern by Conny Walther, Denmark.

Already at the age of 17 Conny Walther (b. 1931) worked for Saxbo Denmark until she started studying at the Arts and Crafts School in Copenhagen. After graduating She worked for some years at Kahler before opening her own studio in Birkerod (North of Copenhagen) in 1954, where she continued the production until 1984.

Marked CW on the bottom and ST on the side (impressed)...

Art nouveau (Danish: skønvirke) pewter ink stand set manufactored by silversmith Mogens Ballin (1871-1914) and Goldsmith H.P. Hertz in Copenhagen Denmark. In 1908 Hertz took over the shop of Mogens Ballin, and he continued the production of the Ballin models using pewter. The ink well has the original glass insert. Signed on the back with HB monogram 2019. Ink Stand: 9½ x 5 x 3 inches (24.5 x 13 x 8 cm). Blotter: 5½ x 3 x 2.7 inches (14 x 8 x 7 cm). Excellent vintage condition.
