| 9.5" x 12.5". Color and ink on cotton muslin. Born in Northamptonshire, England in 1959, Peter Bowles has had a fascination with the American Indian culture since childhood. Fulfilling a lifelong dream of living and working among the American Indian cultures, in 1989 Bowles traveled to the United States where he was strongly encouraged to pursue ledger art by Jim O’Donell. Bowles’s first commission was for Emil Her Many Horses, the curator of the ST. Francis Museum on the Rosebud Reservation. | ||
