| Rhomboid shaped beautiful Japanese bamboo basket by Iizuka Rokansai. Rim is oval shape. Strips are woven with yotsume-ami (pattern of four aquares weaving), and some are in irregular weave. Whole basket looks being woven loosely, but have a clean and good posture. Texture is shiny moderately and beautiful. Great condition. Signed by Rokansaion the bottom. Size: height 42cm, width 28cm, depth 22cm. Showa period Iizuka Rokansai(1890-1958): One of the most important and well-known bamboo master, sixth child of Housai ‡T.
