Elegant and rare Ouji celadon chawan by master potter, Ono Kotaro. The interior is carved with a wispy and lyrical floral decoration and the exterior has lotus blossom leaves surrounding the base, around the footring. The Ouji glaze is a very pretty but subtle yellow celadon in person.

This chawan measure 14 x 7cm and is in perfect condition with its original signed box.

Tall cylindrical Hagi vase with kushime decoration and slipwork under a translucent ash clear glaze. The vase and box are signed "Kazunobu"

This vase is in excellent condition and measures 10.25" X 3.15" and comes complete with its original signed box.

Very nice boxed Aka-Raku chawan with black reduction accents on the face of the bowl by an unidentified potter, circa 1990.

This chawan is in excellent condition, measures 5" X 3.5" and comes with its signed boxed.

Though I could not identify this potter, the box seal and seal on the chawan are an exact match. What I can say is that this is not an apocryphal mainline raku chawan and is not by Sasaki Shoraku, Ohi Choraku or some of the other usual suspects. Priced accordingly.

Elegant cap jar glazed in my temmoku with a runny iron tetsu partridge feather glaze. This cap jar resembles some Tamba and karatsu works and has a rich variety of iron, green and grey-black tones to the runny overglaze.

Wonderfully color illustrated catalogue on the works of Ningen Kokuho, Living National Treasure; Arakawa Toyozo. The catalogue measures 10" X 10" and has 187 pages and covers chawan, mizusashi, chaire, tsubo, hachi and numerous other pieces. It also shows the diverse works of Arakawa, showing Shino, Seto-guro, Karatsu, Shigaraki, Bizen and numerous others styles that he worked in.

This catalogue shows works fired at various kilns across Japan, at friends kilns...

Bold porcelain wan-gata teabowl with etched Hi-Tsuchi-Mizu (Fire, Earth, Water) kanji rondels and netting design under my temmoku and haiyu glazes rendering a Karatsu style appearance. The kanji represent the essential elements of pottery making.

Large feudal style Shigaraki mizusashi by veteran potter; Ogawa Seiho. Fired in an anagama, there is rich ash deposits and hi-iro around the pot. This mizusashi is timeless with vintage style tsuchi-aji, clay flavor making for a wonderful and contemplative keshiki landscape.

The mizusashi measures 25 x 16 cm. and is in excellent original condition and comes with a custom made roiro black lacquer lid and its original signed box.

A Large natsu-wan by chadogu specialist; Kamiya Eisuke. This teabowl is glazed in a rich yohen-tetsu-yu glaze that runs from rusty red tones at the lip to hare’s fur and glassy black drips in the mikomi and near the kodai with much of the glaze being infused with iron crystals trapped within the glaze. The mikomi is filled with a black glass and covered over in iron crystals and is like looking out into the night sky...
