Large blue & white, sometsuke chawan with a vivid pine branch, matsu, stretching across the bowl. This chawan is by Kondo Hiroshi, son of Kondo Yuzo, Living National Treasure...

Lovely and rich blue and white, sometsuke plate set by Juyo Mukei Bunkazai; Kondo Yuzo. This sometsuke set is made of porcelain with underglaze gosu blue, each plate is decorated with a kaki-zu, persimmon design and is signed on the reverse.

Living National Treasure,Kondo Yuzo was arguably, the one of the finest sometsuke artists of the 20th century...

Very nice boxed Aka-Raku chawan with black reduction accents on the face of the bowl by an unidentified potter, circa 1990.

This chawan is in excellent condition, measures 5" X 3.5" and comes with its signed boxed.

Though I could not identify this potter, the box seal and seal on the chawan are an exact match. What I can say is that this is not an apocryphal mainline raku chawan and is not by Sasaki Shoraku, Ohi Choraku or some of the other usual suspects. Priced accordingly.

Very nice set of small kaiseki or sushi plates from the Bishu-gama kiln made by Bizen potter Yamamoto Soshu (Munehide).

Each small plate is in perfect condition, measures 3.75" x .75" and is cleared marked on the reverse and has a bota-mochi style decoration on the face of each piece. No box.

Elegant Hagi hanging vase with a variety of colors from grey-blue to creamy white and lavender by master potter; Ono Zuiho. This hanging vase is made of a rich iron clay from Kyushu with a creamy slip and ash glaze over the piece.

Ono Zuiho is considered to be one of the 20th centuries most important Hagi potters. His work was not only traditional and geared toward chadogu, tea ceremony implements, but much of his work has a modern flare to it...

Wonderful Oribe set of iron decorated plates by veteran potter, Yamaguchi Jusetsu. Vivid green Oribe glaze and whispy iron decoration make this set very usable across a wide variety of uses including tea ceremony. Yamaguchi's works are widely exhibited and published in Japan and abroad.

These plates are all in great condition and measure approximately 5.75" x .5" each and come with their original signed box.

Rich Oribe square serving piece, with pierced and linen decoration for tea ceremony, kaiseki. This piece is made of stoneware and was made by veteran Oribe potter, Kato Sakusuke. His works are widely exhibited and published and his touch for making Oribe pottery is wonderful.
