Large blue & white, sometsuke chawan with a vivid pine branch, matsu, stretching across the bowl. This chawan is by Kondo Hiroshi, son of Kondo Yuzo, Living National Treasure. Working in his father's unique style, Kondo Hiroshi is very well exhibited, collected and published in Japan and abroad.
This chawan is in excellent condition with its original signed box and measures 6.25" X 2.25". ***** The underglaze blue is much richer than there photos show and is by far much nicer in person***** |
