Large and very impressive yuteki oilspot tsubo by Kimura Yoshihiro, son of the legendary Kimura Morikazu and inheritor of the oil spot dynasty of his father and uncles; Moriyasu and Morinobu. This large tsubo is made in a classic, Chinese inspired form with a rich black background covered with oilspots from which silvery feathered tendrils trail down the surface of the pot. The application of the glaze, skillfully handled, creates a magnificent visage like looking at the stars in the sky only in motion.

This tsubo is in perfect condition, measures 12" tall by 11.5" wide and appears much larger than the measurement, please see picture with tea whisk for scale. It comes with its original signed box. Pots by Yoshihiro are only getting more expensive with his chawan starting at 189,000yen and his tsubo of this size and scale, a rarity, starting at over 250,000 yen ($2800), absolutely an exhibition piece of the highest quality.
