| Spectacularly carved cedar mythical dodo bird with Bavarian crest, 19th century. Probably influenced by crazy King Ludwig of Bavaria with his Wagnerian taste for the bizarre. Measures 50" high by 19" deep by 17" wide, attached to tripodal base. Promise you will not see it elsewhere. It's over the top for even mad old Ludwig.--perfect piece to frighten unruly children--high quality carving-at one time could have had polychrome--ca 1880s- -no repairs-no condition problems-cobwebs and dust are included free--could be a dodo bird-- promise will not fly away | |||||||||||||||
