Talk about surviving, this Chinese Ming pottery incense burner is over 400 years old--American diplomatic family brought it out of Japan on the eve of WWII-Sancai--three-colored- green, yellow brown and aubergine blue--raised design is dominated by two sets of dragons chasing a pearl--each of the three legs protrude from the mouths of earth spirits--arms are removable for transport--piece is heavy-20-25 pounds--apparently in its history some one tried to lift the piece by the handles and broke them at the point the handles enter the body-have been repaired and are complete--minor losses but overall condition excellent--repairs to handles-that is all--impressive size-12 inches high with a 10.25 inch diameter--a richly and intensively decorated piece of history--by the way dragons do have scales
