Imperial China 19c. Fine Cloisonne Enamel Coffee Pot
This stunning Cloisonne enamel coffee pot was made in Imperial China c. 1885. The piece has an intricate floral Cloisonne design. The pitcher has a gorgeous navy blue background with butterfly and floral decoration in shades of reddish brown, pink, yellow, white and orange. The Cloissone may have gold specks. The removable lid has a jade head finial. The finial is attached, possibly soldered on, as opposed to being attached with a nut and bolt. The piece seems to be made for the American market and is in the shape of an after dinner coffee pot. The pot is possibly late Qing dynasty and remains in very good condition. This breathtaking coffee pot would make a remarkable addition to any home or collection.
