This magnificent antique set of 12 extra heavy coin silver serving spoons was made for export in China by Houchong, or Houcheong in 1840. Each spoon is beautifully chased in the scroll and scallop Kings pattern. These spoons can be found in "Chinese Export Silver 1785-1885" by H. A. Crosby Forbes et al, Fig 242 #87. This elegant set of coin silver serving spoons would make a fantastic addition to any Kings flatware service!
