This lovely 13 zlot silver rare oil canister was made in Hungarian in the city of Szatmar, Hungary in 1820. Szatmar was a city with a large Jewish population and many Judaica items. This piece was done in an elegant clean design with a gadroon border around the rim as well as the bottom circular base. There is a finial on the lid to remove the cover with ease. This piece was used as an oil dispenser for Chanukah menorah and would be a wonderful addition to your holiday! It could also be used for creamer. Great gift for a Judaica collector!
