This beautiful 800 silver wine goblet was made circa 1890-1910 in Austria-Hungary. It was originally designed as a wine goblet and was later used as a tennis trophy as the engraving, which can be removed, shows. It has a sleek neck, which narrows as it nears the base with 3 lines around it where the neck meets the base. It has a spherical gadroon around the bottom of the cup and the edge of the base.
MONOGRAM: M.N.B. TENISZ SZ.O. 1953 (can be removed) MEASUREMENTS: Height: 8 ¼" Opening Diameter: 3 ¾" WEIGHT: 8 oz HALLMARK: 56859 CONDITION: A few markings inside the cup and underneath the base but good overall condition with regular surface wear from use and age. |
