This limestone cement image of Quetzalcoatl was found by the famous Dr. Allen Heflin in September of 1954 and is so inscribed on the bottom. It still has its original obsidian eyes. It is 4" long. It is badly weathered, but the features are easily recognizable although the camera did not pick them up fully. It dates to 100BC-200AD. This is an extremely rare piece. I have not seen another.

This Olmec translucent jade figure is 1 7/8" long. The bottom was broken off in antiquity which allows one to peer into its ancient patina and jade composition and also keeps the price affordable. The drill hole is original which is important as it is the best place to look at for authenticity. I had a jeweler install a modern 14K gold loop so I could wear it. It has excellent provenance which goes to the buyer.

I have seen and collected many bird celts and axe-gods over the years. This one ranks near the top for the type. The quality of the carving is extraordinary and the jade material is wonderfully colorful. It is 3/5/8" long. It is from the Las Mercedes, Linea Vieja area. The blade is narrowed as well as deeply cut back at the waistline. The eyes are marked by drill pits set in a broad groove. A pair of knobs on the head resemble the local great horned owl...

This G-10+ Columbia River Eastgate Gem Point is undeniably one of the best ever found. It is made out of translucent honey colored agate which is heavily patinated. Its composition reminds me of Hixton quartz. It is 1 3/4" long. There isn't a ding, flea bite or mistake made anywhere including the tip. There are no stacks or curves. The left side mirrors the right. You cannot tell the difference between side A and side B. This is true art and balanced perfection...

This Chavin 23-24K pure gold hammered pendant or nose ornament depicts the Chavin Monster/Dragon swallowing some poor sap whole with his head sticking out of the monster's mouth and blood spurting out of the top of his head. It is paper thin and 1 5/8" in diameter. This grizzly macabre scene is a true piece of pre-Columbian art. This ultra-rare pre-Columbian shell carving is 2 1/4" and has two suspension holes. The shell is translucent and shows beautiful patina. The holes are correct. It has the characteristics of being from the Nayarit culture c.200 BC- 200 AD. The figure appears to be holding a mace weapon similar to the Spiro Mounds type. The figure is wearing an elaborate necklace and ear spools. It also has a weeping eye motif which connects it to the shell gorgets of the Southeast pictured below on my weeping eye...

I purchased this extraordinary Buffalo Style shell death mask/gorget on 3-31-94. It has a superb provenance, having been in three previous "Who's Who in Indian Relics" collections going back to the name of the original finder. It is the most elaborately decorated gorget I have seen. It has weeping eyes, speech marks, tattoos on forehead and chin and a hairline. It is 5 1/2" long. It was found in 1960 at the Tellico Site in Monroe County, Tennessee. The prices on these gorgets have been soaring i...

If you own the finest Columbia River gem point collection, this will be your centerpiece. It is the only AUTHENTICATED PRECIOUS FIRE OPAL POINT FROM THE COLUMBIA RIVER KNOWN TO EXIST. This opal point was found in 1955 at the foot of Hart Mountain, Crump Lake area, Oregon, by Bob Rock, in the presence of the late Carroll Howe which I confirmed with a telephone call to Carroll. Carroll wrote four books on northwest material. There is an opal outcropping about 30 miles away that matches this ty...

This extremely rare green slate pendant is 3 1/8" in diameter and is from Eastern Oklahoma dating to the Mississipian Period. The incised motifs are two antler-headed panther rattlesnakes with weeping/forked eye, four hands with eye in the palm and a central stylized eye. Each hand is set so that the fingers point in one of the sacred directions. The entire outside edge is incised with lines reminiscent of the shell mask hairlines and there are four stylized antlers at the four directions. It ha...

This unique 3-pronged bone tool is probably a comb, but could be some type of fish or crawdad spear or even a fork. It was found at a Ft. Ancient site in Washington County, Kentucky on private property. One prong was broken off in antiquity and glued back on. This is the most unusual bone piece I have ever seen. It was obviously carved with stone tools. It is nicely polished with great patination. It dates to the Mississipian Period around 1000AD.
