This is the finest miniature Olmec jade maskette that I have ever seen. The beard is a particularly noteworthy feature. Many bearded figures are known from the Olmec culture and are seen on a variety of media. It measures only 1 1/2" long. It is mildly scooped in the back. Found in a dig in Veracruz, Mexico in 1966. It is made from one of the most beautiful pieces of jade that I have seen. It is extremely translucent. It is thin and lightweight. Look at how evenly the jade is distributed. The color is closer to the last picture being nearer to Imperial and not blueish. It has a modern 14k gold loop on the top and can be comfortably worn every day. This is an ancient piece of jewelry that is beyond compare. It comes with a forensic laboratory report from Orenda Labs and a Bill Breckinridge laser COA.
