This is the finest miniature Olmec jade maskette that I have ever seen. The beard is a noteworthy feature. Many bearded figures are known from the Olmec culture and are seen on a variety of media. It measures only 1 1/2" long. It is mildly scooped in the back. Found in a dig in Veracruz, Mexico in 1966. It is made from one of the most beautiful pieces of jade that I have seen. It is so translucent it is almost transparent. It has a modern 14k gold loop on the top and can be worn every day. It comes with a forensic laboratory report from Orenda Labs and a Bill Breckinridge laser COA. Please view my youtube video of this item at http://youtu.be/MktnxsMJH9Y
