This whopping point is 4 7/8" long and 2 1/4" wide. Lar Hothem calls it a 1st stage St. Charles Dovetail. Tom Davis authenticated it as a Lost Lake, G-9. It is made from semi-translucent high quality burlington chert. It has excellent mineralization and patination. It was found near St. Louis, Missouri. It is pictured in Who's Who, John A. Atkins, Volume 8, page 8 and 234. It is also pictured in Lar Hothem's Midwest Artifacts III. Due to a recent diagnosed major health problem, I have dropped the price of this piece and all my items by at least 50% to at or below the price I paid many years ago. Now is the time to pick up a great deal. My loss is your gain. This piece was $1700.
