This fine frame of engraved bone is from Tiahuanaco, Bolivia. I purchased them on 12-12-94 and have the original documentation. The long bone on the left depicts two figures seated facing each other in some sort of exchange. The other four bone pieces depict authority figures wearing elaborate headdresses. The long bone on the right has been broken and glued back together. The bone on the top center is drilled laterally for suspension. The longest bone is 7 1/2" and the shortest is 2 1/2". Purchased from the famous Ken Klassen collection. Due to a recent diagnosed major health problem, I have dropped the price of this piece and all my items by at least 50% to at or below the price I paid many years ago. Now is the time to pick up a great deal. My loss is your gain. This frame was $3500.
