Masterpiece Chinese Han Dynasty Paint Pottery Soldier (Z968)

A rare ancient Chinese painted pottery model of a kneeling soldier, dating to the Han Dynasty(206 B.C. to 220 A.D.) . A lot of the original red, white & black original pigments still remain on the dark grey pottery . Note the pierced holes at the wrists where hands (possibly wooden) were positioned, but are now lost . Evidence of roots attaching to the pottery inside the body cavity from an extended burial.
