DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).

DESCRIPTION: This vintage eight-sided Japanese platter is raised on a square foot with blue underglazed geometric designs covering the flat interior and with chrysanthemums scattered over diagonal cross hatching around the raised edges. Perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, and dating to the first half of the 1900’s; maker’s mark and collector’s stickers are on the back. DIMENSIONS: 10 ¾” square (27.4 cm) x 1 5/8” high (4.1 cm).

DESCRIPTION: A handsome rectangular Chinese chest crafted from a deep red ox leather and furnished with brass fittings. The interior still has the original blue silk lining and would have originally held scrolls or documents. Today it would make an attractive accent piece on top or underneath a cabinet or table.
