| DESCRIPTION: A beautiful hand sewn Tibetan purse, the front and sides decorated with 62 large, smooth-tumbled turquoise stones. Made from a heavy black felt, the front edges of the purse are also bordered with genuine red amber beads, while the handle is totally wrapped in tiny, natural red coral beads. In the center of the turquoise stones is a silver edged mosaic medallion (probably antique and incorporated into the purse), crafted of dark blue lapis luzuli and turquoise chips surrounded by more coral beads. All of the stones used in this purse are genuine, and together make a striking and quite beautiful piece of textile folk art. Most likely dating from the 1970’s/1980’s and in excellent, pristine condition. DIMENSIONS: Body of purse is 8” wide (20.3 cm) x 6 ½” high (16.5 cm). | ||||||||||||||
