| DESCRIPTION: A lady’s embroidered vest of sky-blue silk with light blue ribbon borders and the original light blue silk pants. The vest’s embroidery of green water grasses with purple flowers is quite fine, the closures are in the form of dragonflies, and the jacket is lined in a bright fuchsia colored silk. This set was originally purchased in Beijing in the early 1930’s and has been held in the same family since that time. CONDITION: All the fabric and embroidery are in very good condition with no losses or tears; there are some stain spots on the jacket and pants, and some slight fading. DIMENSIONS: The jacket would be sized as a Lady’s Small (S). The pants are a one-size-fits-all with a non-fitted waistband meant to be tied with a sash or cord. | |||||||||||||||
