Fine, Large Chinese Huanghuali Brush Pot, 18th C. Qing
DESCRIPTION: A fine Chinese scholar’s brush pot of large size crafted from beautifully grained huanghuali; Qing dynasty, 18th C. (1700’s). The rich old patina on this brush pot is lovely with the characteristic grain, whorls, and “eyes” found in old huanghuali wood. Made entirely from one piece of wood with no plug, the pot is supported on three carved, raised feet. Excellent condition, beautiful grain, no splits or chips; from a private Florida collection. DIMENSIONS: 7 ˝” high (19 cm) x 7” diameter (17.8 cm).
