DESCRIPTION: A handsome pair of nesting Tibetan (or Nepalese) bowls, graduated in size and originally used for serving tea or other refreshments. Each bowl is hand crafted with a hammered silver liner mounted onto a turned, burl-wood bowl. The grain on the burl is attractive and the foot of each bowl is wrapped in a silver, relief-stamped pattern. Very good condition with the slight irregularities found in these hand-crafted bowls. C. 1890 – 1920; see our listing BPB201 for more of these attractive bowls. DIMENSIONS: Largest bowl is 4 3/4" diameter (12 cm) x 2" high (5 cm).
