This original bronze figure of a seated and robed official holding a jui (symbol of power) measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 5 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches.

It is covered overall with a very subtle and dark patina. It has a softness of detail that only comes from hundreds of years of handling. It also has a few cracks and slight losses to it's surface that do not detract from it's overall appearance.

It dates to a period ranging from the 15th through the 17th centuries in China.

The buyer will not be disappointed, as it is nicer than the photos would indicate. This bronze figure is guaranteed to be an original ( of the period. It is NOT a copy or reproduction of any kind.

This is an antique jade carving of a seated monkey holding a Peach (Late Ming to Qing Dynasty)

It is a finely polished blue grey nephrite jade with white jade areas utilized to accent the nose and extremities.

There are remnants of oxidation or calcification in the crevices.

This antique carved jade is in outstanding condition. It is an excellent example of 17th-19th century jade carving.

Subject is a seated monkey with a finger in his mouth, holding a peach

This nephrite jade carving of a resting Mandarin duck dates to the Ming Dynasty or earlier.

It is a pale celadon to yellow jade altered to brown overall.

It appears to have been buried for an extended period of time, based on the level of alteration or oxidation.

It may actually date to the Song Dynasty, but we are dating it as Ming to be conservative.

It measures 80 mm x 45mm x 12 mm in depth.

It is in very good condition with the exception of a slight loss to one wing tip, which appears to have happened ages ago because it shows wear and toning consistent with the rest of the carving.

The shape of the tail is unusual in that it looks like a sea monster . Without its pointed beak, it could be mistaken for a dragon or a kylin.

This ANTIQUE CHINESE EXPORT PEWTER FISH BOWL & COVER measures 8 1/2 inches by 7 inches by 4 inches.

It is in excellent condition with no evidence of restoration or repairs. It does have some tarnish and wear as would be expected on a soft pewter serving dish that is between 120-160 years old.

IT IS HALLMARKED ON BOTH THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL AND UNDER THE LID.

IT STILL RETAINS IT'S ORIGINAL GLASS EYES.

This outstanding quality Ding Yao covered ceramic box, although Song Dynasty in appearance, may actually date from the Ming or Ching Dynasty.

It measures 8 inches in diameter by about 3 inches in height.

The domed cover is incised with repeating leaf patterns around a central leaf set within a circle.

It is in excellent condition with a circular kiln fracture around the outside of the bottom rim (see enlargement photo). This is original to the piece and is not considered damage.

This hand painted ceramic vase measures about 10 inches (24.5 cm)tall by 5 inches (13 cm) in diameter at it's widest point.

It dates circa 1870-1900 (during the late Meiji Period) in Japan.

It is in excellent condition with virtually all of the high relief gilding intact.

This carved jade dog in a reclining position measures 3.25 inches long by about 1.25 inches tall by 1.5 inches in depth.

It is carved from a piece of nephrite jade that has colors that range from off white and pale celadon to pale yellow and brown in areas.

It dates from the late 19th to early 20th Century in China.

It is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration.

This Chinese nephrite jade carving of a Qilin or Chilong measures about 4.5 inches from nose to tail (or no tail-in this case) by about 4 inches tall by 2 inches at its width (hoof to hoof).

It was carved from a celadon green mottled jade with areas of grey green and dark green.

It also has numerous inclusions - natural fractures in the stone with oxidation and subsequent staining.

This mythological beast has the head of a lion or dog and the wide body of a goat, resting on its hooves. It has no tail: but that may have happened sometime after it was originally created. His rump appears to have been polished down some time ago.

We estimate that this jade originated some time between the Han Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, based on stylistic similarities and the condition of the stone itself.

This Japanese Satsuma Vase is unmarked, 15 inches tall and about 9 inches in diameter.

It dates to the Meiji Period (1868-1912) and has Kwannon and Lohans with an elephant pictured upon it.

It is in excellent condition with some light rubbing on the high relief gilded areas exposing an outstanding crackle beneath.

This antique hardstone carving of a reclining ox dates from the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD) or the early portion of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD).

It measures about 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 X 1 1/4 inches or 58mm x 31mm x 30 mm.

It is carved from white variegated stone with a small area of pale gray in the center.

It is in excellent condition with a substantial amount of reddish brown oxidation on it's base.

We are describing this as hard stone because it does not pass the scratch test for jade. The possibility exists, however, that it is actually altered jade which has been softened over time and proximity to the elements.

This is a Tibetan copper & white metal/silver prayer box or portable shrine (Gao) with a small bronze figure of Ganesh inside.

It dates circa 1890-1930, or possibly earlier.

It also has stitched covers from the early to middle 20th Century.

The front cover is covered with wonderfully hand tooled images, including a Tibetan mythical beast or lion surrounded by Buddhist calligraphy, topped by a flame. The rest of the box is copper, under the protective, stitched cover.

It measures 5 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches in depth.

It is part of a small collection of antique Asian silver artifacts that were originally acquired together. Some of these items will also be offered for sale, now or at a later date.

This white nephrite jade carving of a pig dates from the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD).

It measures 4 inches nose to tail, by about 1 3/8 inches tall by 1 inch in width.

It is an overall white color with traces of brown oxidation in the crevices. It has areas of irregularity on it's flat and rounded surfaces that create an almost spider web like pattern (off white on white colors).

It is in excellent condition except for one drill hole in the tail which does not appear to be contemporary with the piece. It was most likely added so it could be worn as a pendant.
