This ANTIQUE ENGRAVED COPPER DISH OR TRAY measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter (21.4 cm). It is covered with an engraved scene of a Mogul on horseback hunting antelope or deer. The outside edge is covered with running deer throughout. It is unmarked, but dates to the 19th century (Persia, Syria, Palestine or Egypt.) It is in outstanding condition. It still retains virtually all of it's original tinning with subsequent patina over the copper or bronze base. It is heavier than it looks! |
