This jade carving of Hotai measures 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall by about 3 inches in depth (16.5 cm x 11 cm x 7.5 cm). It is a pale celadon colored jade with areas of blue /gray and a few flecks of black. It also has a few very minor inclusions with apparent oxidation. This classic "Happy or Laughing Buddha" dates from the early or middle portion of the 20th century. It is in excellent condition. |
