Ching Dynasty Jade Carving of a lion.

This is a pale celadon - gray jadeite carving with striations along the left rear leg and areas of natural suffusion on the tail.

It also has an area of apple green color on the underside of it's belly where it's heart would be. This color change helps to give it an almost life like quality.

This carved jade is in outstanding condition.

Subject is a stylized lion looking back over his shoulder with a Gui in his mouth.

Measurements: 2 1/2 x 1 1/4 X 1 3/4 inches (60mm x 30mm x 35 mm)
