| A pair of Roman glass two-compartment cosmetic containers, Eastern Mediterranean, 4th Century AD. The first with folded in rims and two small applied handles, the body decorated with threading. Dark encrustation with nice patches of brilliant iridescence over the green glass. Intact. H: 4 5/8” (11.8 cm). The second of pale blue glass and missing handles and parts of the rim. H: 4 3/4” (12.2 cm). Both ex 19th Century French collection. | ||
