| A large iron sword with decorated bronze handle, Central Asia, late 1st Millennium BC. The long, narrow iron blade with central midriff is set into a tubular bronze handle that is decorated with a raised floral or organic motif. The narrowing concentric circles adorn the base of the handle. The blade had some corrosion but is stable and has been reset into the handle. L: 23 ¼" (59.1 cm). A very attractive and interesting piece! Ex Los Angeles collection. | ||
