| A large painted coffin panel with head of Osiris, Roman Period, 1st - 2nd Century AD with three holes for attachment to a larger piece. Grooved slot at the bottom where another board had been fitted. The god wears a stylized Atef crown with small horns and solar disc at top. His face is colored pink as is the outer boarder around him surrounding white. His crown is orange and all the details are in black line. 12" x 7 3/4" (35 x 19.5 cm). Some spotting and encrustation, but an interesting piece! Ex Maine collection. | ||
