Featured on page 170 of the catalogue from the William Spratling exhibit MAESTROS de PLATA:WILLIAM SPRATLING and MEXICO'S SILVER RENAISSANCE, this is the Pre-Columbian Double Swirl Neckace by Los Castillo, c. 1940-45. Each link has a ball that acts as a rivet so the necklace is articulated. Measuring 16 1/2" end to end, it is 1 1/8" wide and weighs a very hefty 168 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. This is my very favorite Los Castillo necklace. It is exquisite on the neck.
