| A rare and exquisite pair of sterling, amethyst and pearl bracelets by Mexican silversmith Carmen Beckmann. Beckmann had a shop in San Miguel deAllende and was active in the 1960's and 1970's. The composition of these bracelets is sophisticated and the work of a highly skilled artist. The rectangles with amethyst and pearl are strung on 2 rows of silver chain alternating between silver circle slides. The pieces all move and end with an invisible push in clasp. The bracelets measure 8" end to end and are 1/2" wide. They weigh 65 grams each. Beautiful condition, both bracelets have a tiny loop at the clasp end which looks like it may be for a safety clasp but more likely to hang a tiny charm off. Signed Beckmann Sterling Mexico on one of the bracelets but not the other so should be kept together. Fabulous, fabulous bracelets by one of Mexico's important women silversmiths. | ||
